L’anno prossimo saranno 50 anni dall’uscita di The Velvet Underground & Nico, uno degli esordi più folgoranti e dei dischi più seminali della storia del rock pubblicato nel 1967. Per celebrare la ricorrenza John Cale, fondatore della band insieme al compianto Lou Reed, porterà l’album integralmente in tour. Saranno tre gli spettacoli esclusivi, a New York, Parigi e Liverpool. L’appuntamento di Liverpool è programmato per il 26 Maggio, con biglietti in vendita già dal 28 Ottobre. Qui in basso il messaggio con cui Cale ha accompagnato l’annuncio, l’ascolto del disco e la locandina dello show di Liverpool:

We were an unfriendly brand, dabbling in a world of challenging lyrics and weird sonics that didn’t fit into anyone’s playlist at the time. Remaining ferociously true to our viewpoints, Lou and I never doubted for a moment we could create something to give a voice to things not regularly explored in rock music at the time.
